People often ask where the name Twisted Pine Health & Wellness came from.
The answer begins in the mountains.
If you've spent time hiking in Colorado, you've probably noticed the twisted pine trees that cling to rocky hillsides and windswept ridges. Their trunks bend and spiral in unexpected ways. Their branches reach toward the light despite years of fierce winds, heavy snow, drought, and changing seasons.
They aren't perfectly straight.
They're resilient.
Every twist tells the story of adaptation. Rather than resisting every challenge, these trees learned to grow through it. Their unique shape isn't a flaw. It's a testament to endurance, strength, and the remarkable ability to thrive in difficult conditions.
When I began building this practice, I couldn't think of a better symbol for the human experience.
Life shapes every one of us. Injuries, stress, demanding careers, aging, grief, illness, and the responsibilities of caring for others all leave their mark. Our bodies adapt in extraordinary ways to help us keep moving forward. Sometimes those adaptations serve us well. Other times they show up as chronic pain, restricted movement, tension, fatigue, or a feeling that we've become disconnected from ourselves.
I don't see those patterns as signs that something is wrong with you.
I see them as evidence of how hard your body has been working to protect you.
At Twisted Pine Health & Wellness, my goal isn't simply to treat symptoms. It's to understand the whole person standing in front of me.
Healing looks different for everyone, which is why I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to create care that's tailored to your unique needs. Whether through Clinical Massage Therapy, AcuDetox, Therapeutic Yoga, or Integrative Health Coaching, each session is designed to support your body's natural ability to heal, adapt, and restore balance.
With more than twenty years of experience helping people improve how they move, feel, and live, I've learned that lasting wellness rarely comes from a single technique. It comes from listening deeply, addressing the root of what's happening, and creating a partnership built on trust, education, and compassionate care.
Some people come to me because they're living with chronic pain. Others are recovering from an injury, navigating a stressful season of life, or simply wanting to feel more at home in their bodies. Whatever brings you through the door, my commitment is the same: to meet you where you are and provide thoughtful, individualized care that supports your long-term well-being.
To me, resilience isn't about pushing through pain or pretending everything is fine.
It's about learning to adapt without losing yourself.
It's about finding ease after tension, movement after limitation, calm after chaos, and hope after difficult seasons.
That's what the twisted pine represents.
Not perfection.
Not a life without hardship.
But the quiet strength to continue growing, even when life changes your shape.
I'm honored to be part of that journey with every client who walks through my door.
